Lithology and Thickness

The Hassi Aouleouel Fm is about 350m thick and is made up of shales at the base that grades into sandy shales and fine-grained sandstones (Guerrak, 1989).

Lower contact

Conformably overlies the Hassi El Barka Fm.

Upper contact

-NA- Basin surface

Regional extent

Extends throughout southern flanks of the Tindouf Basin; and Djebilet-Yetti subbasin (exposed on northwest margin of Tindouf Basin)
